Jhayap is a canopy cover with traditional design used during religious festival. In the picture above and below, Atlas Canopy (Jhayap) is in use at the Lachung monastery during the annual monastic dance. The canopy measures 25' x 25' over the entrance to the main chapel stretched out with ropes tied to the flag poles in the arena. 

Yabring Jhayap (following pictures) covers the front of the Yabring at Lachung monastery. It also serves as a 60' x 10' shade  from the sun glare for the monks seated within.

For large gathering during fairs, reception, wedding or other official meets such as workshops, seminars, trainings etc.Atlas Shamiana tent (abvove) is an option for long term cost effectiveness. Our Shamiana tents are in use at the Governor's and Chief Minister's lawns. Space constraint in the himalayan terrains limit use of bigger sized tents. We can design any sized and any design tents for your residential front or backyard for weekend picnic.

• The material is waterproof Nylon (off white color) with blue band of nylon cut and stitched to the designs as indicated above. Loops provided on the sides to secure with ropes during stormy/windy weather.Folding tent poles and ridge bars of aluminium pipes (2 mm thickness and 1" Diameter) are available with us. You can also use your own bamboo/wood poles and bars).

Pitching procedure

There is no specific method involved to pitch the tent. Pitching it a few times using your own judgment would be the best method. The tent basically has to stand as seen in the following sketch with the poles slotted together to support the tent and the pegs securing the sides firmly to the ground.

Sizes:You can have any sizes (from a minuscule 10' x 10' to a giant 100' x 100' or even bigger!!) depending on the space available. A key issue to remember is that bigger tents require more number of persons to pitch the tent.
